La Borbonica: a life in confectionery
LLa Borbonica is the new Neapolitan pastry shop in Bologna, which has always been linked to the Neapolitan city and its culinary tradition.
Antonio Russo, born in 1976, and his wife Anna De Falco, the owners, founded the pastry shop in May 2016, but have always been involved in pastries.
Antonio Russo studied pastry making in Naples and attended several workshops, including those of Leonardo Di Carlo, World Pastry Champion, Vittorio Carraturo and Calise. Over time, his experience grew and his training was enriched, contaminated by other pastry traditions such as that of Sicily.
The couple then began their Bologna adventure at Pasticceria D'Azeglio in 2005, first as pastry chefs and later taking over its management, until the birth of La Borbonica. A happy partnership that combines his skills and professionalism as a pastry chef with her organisational and management skills.

The La Borbonica project
The new pastry shop La Borbonica is located in the premises that were once the Millennium, closed years ago but still remembered by many Bolognese. Antonio and Anna welcome customers in an elegant and well-kept environment, to accompany them from coffee to an aperitif, passing through a genuine and refined lunch break. At the entrance of the restaurant you will find a 5-metre pastry counter, the cafeteria counter and the breakfast counter with brioches, sandwiches, toasts, etc. There is also seating for 50 and a small room that can also be reserved for ceremonies, refreshments and events of various kinds.
The new activity brings back to the square a quality offer based on a careful choice of raw materials: starting with classic pastries, a cafeteria service and some rotisserie elements, but the project is much broader.
